185 trucks turned out in dreary November to what is now established
as the best and in fact now the only Truck Show in Kent and the South
East. The Truckers had an up close view of the action on track between
the competetive race trucks of the BTRA as the final rounds of the British
Truck Racing Championships took place on this famous old fashioned circuit.
Whilst the Saturday night in the Kentagon is described as the best evening
down the pub at any UK truck event, it is the twylight convoy where these
drivers get their biggest enjoyment of the weekend, in my opinion.
This event truly is unique when you watch 1000 tons of steel circulate
this place lit up with the best moving light show on earth.
Thanks to everyone who made it this year, and anyone new wanting to come
next year i suggest you book early if you want to be part of this unrivalled
trucking experience.

141 trucks booked in to the 5th annual Thruxton Truck Show arranged at
the International Truck Racing weekend in Hampshire. This event has now
established itself on the calendar as the place to be with your truck
in the South of England in the summer. Mixed weather conditions over the
weekend saw umbrellas used on the Saturday, and then hot sunshine on the
Sunday. But of course the weather outside didn't matter in the baron Saturday
evening as the boys all had a cracking night well into the early hours.
With the economic climate in the UK now starting to bite hard on the pockets
of the guys who operate these trucks, it is nice to see our numbers still
up this year, unlike all other Truck shows in the UK which have seen a
decline.
Thanks to everyone who brought their truck along for the weekend, and
we look forward to seeing you again next year.

Best American Truck
3rd Tony Buckingam and his Peterbilt.

Well done to all of them who deserve it after all that cleaning.
See you all at Brands Hatch Nov 1st and 2nd.
I think we will order less cleaning of trucks and more partying please
at this last show of 2008. But make sure your lights are working to join
in the best moving lightshow on earth.

New for 2008 was the Donington Park event at the end of July. It was
a challenge to get regular and new trucks interested to attend this new
venue. Other truck shows in the UK are seeing seriously reduced numbers
on the show field, and here I am trying to start a new one!
61 Trucks booked in with some of the regular southern lads making the
journey north, but it was good to get some new faces to one of our shows
from the north travelling down the M1.
Thanks go out to you all for helping to get this new event off the ground.
