WEEK TEN

Monday, 20th January

The cab roll over bar is all in place and being welded up.

Whilst the inside of the cab is taken up with the welder we lift the cab back onto the chassis to fabricate the cab mountings and design to Rollbar feet to come through the base of the cab to secure the roll bar to the chassis.

We strap up the front & rear suspension to simulate fully laded ride height, and the calculations begin, to mount the cab as low as possible.

Up and down to the machine shop the boys spend many hours getting it all set up spot on.

With the finished cab position you can now see we have lowered by some 18 inches from the original photos in week (2) together with the suspension a further 9" she’s just dropping and dropping lower than any ERF ever made.

By the end of the week she’s low but it’s hard to believe the whole project must be ready in just 10 weeks time!!
